Thanks Pauline. Mom is still very happy. Sent her off to Los Angeles to see her grandson again during April. She’s really enjoying her time as a grandma and mom now.

Thanks J. I think I’m sacrificing my social life once again for a professional one… but my professional life is possibly the closest thing I can control outside of myself… so I’m not feeling like I’m missing out too much with my wobbly personal life experiences.

What an eventful life. Have you tried coconut oil for your skin. I’m not sure about shipping to Japan and the cost but Tropicaltraditions.com has virgin coconut oil from the Philippines available and I’ve read quite a number of testimonials of all it does including skin challenges and other health situations. You could always look into that.

*sigh* I miss you. Truly, truly miss you! You’ve got such a zest for life…a joie de vivre.

Ooof! I am soooo not good with humidity and really hot temps. I love the heat, but heat that is tolerable and not the kind that leaves you feeling wiped out.

Ha! Just read your comment on my latest post! Domestic Goddess! *sigh* That is the last thing I EVER expected to turn out. I love, love, love being with my baby girl, but in a way I am a bit excited to start teaching again in January. I don’t know how stay at home moms do it. I totally bow down to stay at home moms. It’s exhausting being with a baby all day and having to do everything you would normally have to do…plus all the extra laundry and cleaning.

I come to your blog to feel refreshed and to live vicariously through you! LOL! It reminds me of the life I had pre-husband and pre-baby. I admit, I sometimes miss that life A LOT. xoxo

That’s a great idea! I’d love to spend the summer in San Francisco… I’m already going to California this christmas. Wouldn’t it be great if I could spend the hot days in that cool city, and winters in this sizzling hot asian metropolis?

Oh I was freaking out and going nuts and throwing hissy fits just two weeks ago — and I decided ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!! So I threw all my work aside, and went out to watch movies with friends, dinners, and go to beaches.

Take a vacation where you are, Jimmy. Go to places that you can relax in. Makes this forsaken heat easier to live with.

If I have a man and two children to attend to, I’ll be exhausted by 8pm too. Instead I spend 25 hours attending to children, one child at a time… and no man to concern my heart with… and focus all my energy on something else that really makes me happy - so it’s a generous relationship that I have with music. I’m happy.

Of course, I’ll like to have a boyfriend who makes my life better, but that will come in time.

CK, you and Jimmy should come here next summer. Yes, it gets hot. Sometimes 105 or 110 F, but it’s DRY. And you can go into San Francisco for the day when it’s horrid, and it’s SO much cooler. And there’s air conditioning everywhere.

I guess I’m new enough to your blog that I didn’t realize how new you are to Hong Kong. You seem to have it under control, I’m so impressed by you and all that you are accomplishing there.

Regarding your list, I almost fainted reading it. I think I need a nap now.

I’m with ya on hating the humidity!!!!!It was 100% here in coastal NC for the month of August, and it completely sucked!!!
I was a ranting lunatic for the month and still haven’t gotten over it!

Wow, CK, so glad to read your update, and it’s some really exciting stuff happening for you, SO exciting! I think it’s so wonderful to be so passionate about what you’re doing, actually doing something that you love so much, and doing it well. What an exciting challenge to be performing in different languages as well. It sounds like you’re going in a new direction with your music, which is great. And congrats to your Mom, a master’s degree is a huge accomplishment at any time, but particularly when you’re not as young (we won’t say old because she’s not). You must be so proud of her!

Yes, it’s that time of the year when I would drive up with our buddy Ken to the island, isn’t it? Oooh, I do miss this time of the year. I really loved the Red Lodge — I still dream of the red cozy home against the beautiful sky blue backdrop mirroring the equally blue water. Very sorry to hear the passing of the lady of the mansion. Very kind of the new handlers to respect their ways and keep it as is.

It’s disgustingly hot and humid here in Hong Kong… plus my allergy is beginning to take a toll on my health. It sucks. Thank God for music.

Don’t know when I’ll be back to the North. I will return. One day. I will. Looks like California wins this christmas.

CK! WOW! So much has been going on! I was thinking that this is about the time you usually come for a visit to the island. Miss you tons, girlfriend! I was thinking of the Red Lodge and our German meal there. Remember the sweet German couple to own/run the place? Did I tell you that the wife died last year? She just turned 50 when she died of cancer. It all happened pretty suddenly. The Red Lodge has since been sold, but will be run just as it was when the wife was alive. The new owners are keeping the name, theme and menu of the restaurant.

I love that you are so passionate about your music and I enjoy getting updates about your life in HK. Do you think you’ll be back in Canada anytime soon (even for just a visit)?

My mom and I had a conversation about this before… it’s good to keep your mind in focus. It helps stopping us from deteriorate. She’s a tough one, I gotta admit.
