Chocolate Covered Strawberries

I’m in desperate need of some serotonin fix, which calls for chocolate covered strawberries. It’s too easy to make, and I’m just flabbergasted with how expensive Godiva sells them.
- 16 ounce chocolate - dark chocolate prefered, the better quality the better.
- 1 pint of fat juicy strawberries, washed and pat dry
- tin foil
- 6 cups of water
- 2 pots - 1 slightly larger than the other
- plate to put into the refrigerator for chilling
Place water into larger pot. Bring to boil, then turn down the heat to a simmer. Place chocolates into the smaller pot and into the larger pot — make sure small pot doesn’t touch the hot water, so won’t burn the chocolate. Melt chocolate.
Remove small pot from hot steam and start dipping. Cover as much of the strawberries as possible. I usually leave the stem and leaves for looks and for easy-handling (I eat them like candies with my hand).
Place each dipped chocolate onto tin foil covered chilling plates. Space each strawberry an inch apart so the chocolate won’t touch. After filling a plate, place in refrigerator to chill. It’ll be ready in 15 minutes.

BTW, I can eat chocolate-covered strawberries anytime any given season, as long as there are good juicy strawberries.

I have never understood chocolate covered strawberries.
However, I am a fan of chocolate covered cherries.
That’s right. I’m an enigma.

“Enigma” would only be a feeble attempt to label you, Mr. Fab.

I remember your chocolate strawberries.. and your white-chocolate bananas! They were soooooooooooooooooooooooooo yummy!
Maybe a hot chocolate would do for me.

I miss your chocolate covered strawberries and banana! When you come to the Island, we’ll have a cooking marathon!!
We’ll make all sorts of yummy treats for the taste buds! Then we’ll head to the beach and swim and fall asleep on the white sand shores and listen to the waves…

[...] Since I was cleaning, I cleaned the fridge too - and I pulled out a big bar of Cadbury’s Milk Chocolate. I always keep couple of plain chocolate bars in the fridge in case I feel like having my usual chocolate-covered strawberries (when they’re in season, of course). Then I remembered I bought a bag of dried strawberries the other week from City Super… [...]
